Oh the places you will go! Journey from Deepak to Dr Seuss in this video

Most clients come to me knowing what they want to do and they already have a business or career in motion but I have been working with quite a few clients recently to help them figure out what they want to do and honing it down.  Then we move into recognizing who out there has the need for their unique talent.  After that we spend quite a while developing systems and really tightly crafting their brand and style, tweaking and fine tuning until we get the spark of affluence that Deepak talks about.
There are two things I would like to point out around the law of Dharma.  First of all it can put a lot of pressure on you to want to figure out what your unique talent is, if it isn’t already evident to you.  I want to reach out to those of you who are trying to figure out your life purpose right now and encourage you to use the other laws to help you hone in on it.

Try to come from a place of curiosity and create space so that you can recognize the clues in your everyday life.  Keep in mind the Law of Detachment and embrace the uncertainty you feel.  If you are busy running tapes of why don’t I know what I want to do, I’m not good at anything in your head you won’t hear the guidance from your GPS.  Don’t forget about meditation or if you like just being silent.  This is the most powerful tool we’ve talked about it.  If you want to engage your internal GPS to help you uncover your life purpose then you have to listen.
The second point I want to make

Do you know what makes you tick? Find out all about it in this 10 minute video.

What I call knowing what makes you tick, knowing yourself is one of the most valuable investments you can make.  Our core, our true nature knows exactly what it needs and Deepak reminds us that when you don’t know yourself you end up “chasing symbols” clothes, houses… symbols to fill insatiated needs.  So often we try to fill a need for success or feeling good with toys.  This only fleetingly feels good and then the need is still unmet.  To find out more watch the 20 Minute Talk below.

Attachment is based on:
·         Fear
·         Insecurity
·         Need for security is based on not knowing the true self
When I first work with clients I have them identify their power words.  Some of these words of core values and some of them are needs.  By knowing this I can help them on their journey to figure out what makes them tick as we coach together.  Needs drive us and if we don’t acknowledge them and accept them as part of who we are they will drive us anyway and get met in possibly unhealthy ways.  You can always use this knowledge to your advantage.  If you have a need for attention, like someone taking right now who shall remain nameless, you can ignore that need and let it seek unhealthy ways to get met like, drinking too much and dancing on a table, or you can acknowledge as a part of who you are and what motivates you and find healthy ways to get attention like pursuing acting or running webinar’s!   A big part of detachment is acknowledging your needs and accepting them.   Of course in a loving, kind, non-judgmental way, right.

Learn how to E-X-P-A-N-D your happiness and create more space

What do you want?

I know a lot of you out there are thinking, I know exactly what I want, but I’m going to challenge you on that tonight.  I cannot count the amount of times I work with a client who thinks they know what you want when in fact they are clueless.  What I mean when I say “what do you want” is in a very specific way (watch the video below to learn more).

Deepak shares with us the ingredients for intention and desire are
·         Energy
·         Information
“Attention energizes, and intention transforms.  Whatever you put your attention on will grow stronger in your life.  Whatever you take your attention away from will wither, disintegrate, and disappear.  Intention on the other hand, triggers transformation of energy and information.  Intention organizes its own fulfillment.”
In other words – What you focus on E-X-P-A-N-D-S
If you focus on the misery and failures you will create more if you focus on the fulfillment of goals and intentions they will expand.  But in order for things to expand you also need to have space for them to grow.
If you want to E-X-P-A-N-D your happiness you need to create space.

Do Less and Achieve More? Watch the latest 10 minute video

Law of Least Effort - Do less and accomplish more!

1.      Acceptance
a.      “Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances and events’ as they occur”
b.      Accepting things as they are NOT as you wish they were in this moment.
“When you feel frustrated or upset by a person or a situation, remember that yu are not reacting to the person or the situation, but to you feeling about the person of situation.  These are your feelings, and your feelings are not someone else’s fault”.
Expectations can really get in the way here too.  We carry around so many high and unrealistic expectations and every-time we don’t meet them we make a withdrawal from our emotional bank account, draining our energy.
2.      Taking responsibility
a.      “Not blaming anyone or anything for your situation, including yourself”
b.      Finding a “creative response” to the situation keeping in mind last night’s law of Karma (cause and effect)
c.       Keep in mind Louise Hay’s quote “The power is in the present moment”
“Once you do this, every so-called upsetting situation will become an opportunity for the creation of something new and beautiful, and every so called tormentor or tyrant will become your teacher.  Reality is an interpretation.  And if you choose to interpret reality in this way, you will have many teachers around you, and many opportunities to evolve”.
3.      Defenselessness
a.      “Relinquish the need to convince or persuade others of your point of view.”
“If you observe people around you, you’ll notice that they spend a good ninety-nine percent of their time defending their points of view.”
“Completely desist from defending your point of view.  When you have no point to defend, you do not allow the birth of an argument.  If you do this consistently – if you stop fighting and resisting – you will fully experience the present which is a gift.”
Quotes from The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra

When you push all you get is resistance.  Having your own business which includes all of you who are career professionals too, means you have to do marketing.  What is marketing… it is telling people what you do again and again and again and again.  So often I run into people who think marketing is pushing, no one wants to be sold and all you get when you push is resistance not sales.  Find out how to attract more and sell less in this 20 Minute Talk.

Do you have any karmic debt? Watch this 10 minute video and learn how to fill your bank account.

Now I think typically when people think of “karma” they associate it with “bad karma”.  We’re are encouraged to not doing things that will give us bad karma but there are actually to sides to the coin of karma just like there are to everything.  This holds true for example with “attraction”, attraction is a hot topic right now.  Everyone wants to activate their attraction, but when they don’t realize is that we are always attracting, it’s just not always what we want.  Attraction and Karma are always in motion, they are always there.  There is always cause and effect to our actions whether we are mindful of it or not.  What I encourage clients to do is to make conscious choices, to be in the driver’s seat of their lives rather than the passenger seat and to take responsibility for their actions and inaction.  This is usually a huge aha moment and incredibly freeing when it drops into their lives.

How do you get what you want? Watch and see in this 10 minute video

Now I do not doubt that most of you are all ready giving and sharing on a regular basis.  I tend to attract clients and people in general who authentically give and need to give to honor their core values, but in this 20 Minute Talk we are going to explore how we can bring this into our business lives as well as our personal lives and perhaps find some new ways to give, if you are willing to be open to the possibility.
View Part 1 below and then go to SEVEN NIGHTS of SUCCESS Night TWO for parts 2 and 3.

There are two key points about giving that I want to highlight here
·         “It is the intention behind the giving and receiving that is the most important thing.  The intention should always be to create happiness for the giver and the receiver.”
·         “The easiest way to get what you want is to help others get what they want”
·         If you want something give it!
Quotes from "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" by Deepak Chopra
20 Minute Talks are brief explorations of a topic which leave you with three actions steps and include an optional 10 minute activity.
