Oh the places you will go! Journey from Deepak to Dr Seuss in this video

Most clients come to me knowing what they want to do and they already have a business or career in motion but I have been working with quite a few clients recently to help them figure out what they want to do and honing it down.  Then we move into recognizing who out there has the need for their unique talent.  After that we spend quite a while developing systems and really tightly crafting their brand and style, tweaking and fine tuning until we get the spark of affluence that Deepak talks about.
There are two things I would like to point out around the law of Dharma.  First of all it can put a lot of pressure on you to want to figure out what your unique talent is, if it isn’t already evident to you.  I want to reach out to those of you who are trying to figure out your life purpose right now and encourage you to use the other laws to help you hone in on it.
Go to Seven NIghts of Success Night SEVEN to watch parts 2 & 3, right now.

Try to come from a place of curiosity and create space so that you can recognize the clues in your everyday life.  Keep in mind the Law of Detachment and embrace the uncertainty you feel.  If you are busy running tapes of why don’t I know what I want to do, I’m not good at anything in your head you won’t hear the guidance from your GPS.  Don’t forget about meditation or if you like just being silent.  This is the most powerful tool we’ve talked about it.  If you want to engage your internal GPS to help you uncover your life purpose then you have to listen.
The second point I want to make

Do you know what makes you tick? Find out all about it in this 10 minute video.

What I call knowing what makes you tick, knowing yourself is one of the most valuable investments you can make.  Our core, our true nature knows exactly what it needs and Deepak reminds us that when you don’t know yourself you end up “chasing symbols” clothes, houses… symbols to fill insatiated needs.  So often we try to fill a need for success or feeling good with toys.  This only fleetingly feels good and then the need is still unmet.  To find out more watch the 20 Minute Talk below.
Go to Seven NIghts of Success Night SIX to watch parts 2 & 3 right now.

Attachment is based on:
·         Fear
·         Insecurity
·         Need for security is based on not knowing the true self
When I first work with clients I have them identify their power words.  Some of these words of core values and some of them are needs.  By knowing this I can help them on their journey to figure out what makes them tick as we coach together.  Needs drive us and if we don’t acknowledge them and accept them as part of who we are they will drive us anyway and get met in possibly unhealthy ways.  You can always use this knowledge to your advantage.  If you have a need for attention, like someone taking right now who shall remain nameless, you can ignore that need and let it seek unhealthy ways to get met like, drinking too much and dancing on a table, or you can acknowledge as a part of who you are and what motivates you and find healthy ways to get attention like pursuing acting or running webinar’s!   A big part of detachment is acknowledging your needs and accepting them.   Of course in a loving, kind, non-judgmental way, right.

Learn how to E-X-P-A-N-D your happiness and create more space

What do you want?

I know a lot of you out there are thinking, I know exactly what I want, but I’m going to challenge you on that tonight.  I cannot count the amount of times I work with a client who thinks they know what you want when in fact they are clueless.  What I mean when I say “what do you want” is in a very specific way (watch the video below to learn more).
Go to Seven Nights of Success Night FIVE to watch parts 2 & 3 right now.

Deepak shares with us the ingredients for intention and desire are
·         Energy
·         Information
“Attention energizes, and intention transforms.  Whatever you put your attention on will grow stronger in your life.  Whatever you take your attention away from will wither, disintegrate, and disappear.  Intention on the other hand, triggers transformation of energy and information.  Intention organizes its own fulfillment.”
In other words – What you focus on E-X-P-A-N-D-S
If you focus on the misery and failures you will create more if you focus on the fulfillment of goals and intentions they will expand.  But in order for things to expand you also need to have space for them to grow.
If you want to E-X-P-A-N-D your happiness you need to create space.

Do Less and Achieve More? Watch the latest 10 minute video

Law of Least Effort - Do less and accomplish more!

1.      Acceptance
a.      “Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances and events’ as they occur”
b.      Accepting things as they are NOT as you wish they were in this moment.
“When you feel frustrated or upset by a person or a situation, remember that yu are not reacting to the person or the situation, but to you feeling about the person of situation.  These are your feelings, and your feelings are not someone else’s fault”.
Expectations can really get in the way here too.  We carry around so many high and unrealistic expectations and every-time we don’t meet them we make a withdrawal from our emotional bank account, draining our energy.
2.      Taking responsibility
a.      “Not blaming anyone or anything for your situation, including yourself”
b.      Finding a “creative response” to the situation keeping in mind last night’s law of Karma (cause and effect)
c.       Keep in mind Louise Hay’s quote “The power is in the present moment”
“Once you do this, every so-called upsetting situation will become an opportunity for the creation of something new and beautiful, and every so called tormentor or tyrant will become your teacher.  Reality is an interpretation.  And if you choose to interpret reality in this way, you will have many teachers around you, and many opportunities to evolve”.
3.      Defenselessness
a.      “Relinquish the need to convince or persuade others of your point of view.”
“If you observe people around you, you’ll notice that they spend a good ninety-nine percent of their time defending their points of view.”
“Completely desist from defending your point of view.  When you have no point to defend, you do not allow the birth of an argument.  If you do this consistently – if you stop fighting and resisting – you will fully experience the present which is a gift.”
Quotes from The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra

When you push all you get is resistance.  Having your own business which includes all of you who are career professionals too, means you have to do marketing.  What is marketing… it is telling people what you do again and again and again and again.  So often I run into people who think marketing is pushing, no one wants to be sold and all you get when you push is resistance not sales.  Find out how to attract more and sell less in this 20 Minute Talk.

Do you have any karmic debt? Watch this 10 minute video and learn how to fill your bank account.

Now I think typically when people think of “karma” they associate it with “bad karma”.  We’re are encouraged to not doing things that will give us bad karma but there are actually to sides to the coin of karma just like there are to everything.  This holds true for example with “attraction”, attraction is a hot topic right now.  Everyone wants to activate their attraction, but when they don’t realize is that we are always attracting, it’s just not always what we want.  Attraction and Karma are always in motion, they are always there.  There is always cause and effect to our actions whether we are mindful of it or not.  What I encourage clients to do is to make conscious choices, to be in the driver’s seat of their lives rather than the passenger seat and to take responsibility for their actions and inaction.  This is usually a huge aha moment and incredibly freeing when it drops into their lives.

How do you get what you want? Watch and see in this 10 minute video

Now I do not doubt that most of you are all ready giving and sharing on a regular basis.  I tend to attract clients and people in general who authentically give and need to give to honor their core values, but in this 20 Minute Talk we are going to explore how we can bring this into our business lives as well as our personal lives and perhaps find some new ways to give, if you are willing to be open to the possibility.
View Part 1 below and then go to SEVEN NIGHTS of SUCCESS Night TWO for parts 2 and 3.

There are two key points about giving that I want to highlight here
·         “It is the intention behind the giving and receiving that is the most important thing.  The intention should always be to create happiness for the giver and the receiver.”
·         “The easiest way to get what you want is to help others get what they want”
·         If you want something give it!
Quotes from "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" by Deepak Chopra
20 Minute Talks are brief explorations of a topic which leave you with three actions steps and include an optional 10 minute activity.

Time to quiet the itty-bitty-shitty-committee

The Law of Pure Potentiality - Deepak Chopra
How we can apply the concept in this law to success in our personal and professional lives?

Watch the webinar NOW by clicking HERE.

Deepak defines potentiality as embodying creativity, consciousness and possibility.

An important step when I am working with a client on a new goal or strategy is to check in with them to see if they see what they desire as possible. If you cannot see something as a possibility it is going to be very difficult to attain it.

So often clients come to me struggling in their business with organization, managing their finances and time management challenges. These same challenges have

been rampant in their personal life too. Your business and career are not an island. As much as we wish we could neatly compartmentalize our life it doesn’t work that way. People who over extend themselves in their personal lives, usually overfill their work schedule too and say “yes” to too many projects. If you have unhealthy habits in your life they will appear in your business too. If you are late to meet your friends you will most likely struggle to be on time for your business appointments until you get to the bottom of why and work on changing it.. Usually the self-defeating behavior and unhealthy habits are gunk covering up our true essence, or our true potential.

· To quote Deepak “The more you experience your true nature, the closer you are to the field of pure potentiality”.

In a nutshell the law of pure potentiality is about authenticity. Embracing your unique core values and honoring your true self. Coming out from behind the mask and making choices based on your true voice, your gut, your intuition, what I like to call your GPS. Your own built in guidance system. The biggest challenge for a lot of my clients is hearing and recognizing that voice. We have a whole “itty-bitty-shitty-committee” chiming in with all kinds of limiting beliefs and negative statements like static interfering with our connection to our GPS system.

Why bother clearing the channel?

· It’s a lot easier to attract opportunities, clients and customers to you rather than to sell to them.

· If you can step into your uniqueness you will stand out from the competition rather than tryi

ng to replicate what everyone else is doing.

· Your confidence will go through the roof if you are grounded in your core values.

· Your life purpose will be more apparent to you.

· Your personal and professional community and relationships will upgrade with you.

· Not having to put on masks and disguises will leave you with more energy.

· People will have an easier time connecting with you because they won’t have to dig thru all your disguises to find you.

· You will have an easier time building relationships and expressing yourself and your business.

So how do we fine tune our connection?

· Silence

· Meditation

· Non-judgment

· Communing with nature

Practicing Silence “Means making a commitment to take a certain amount of time to simply Be. Experiencing silence means periodically withdrawing from the activity of speech. It also means periodically withdrawing from activities such as watching television, listening to the radio or reading a book. If you never give yourself the opportunity to experience silence, this creates turbulence in your internal dialog"

Non-judgment

“Judgment is the constant evaluation of things as right or wrong, good or bad. When you are constantly evaluating, classifying, labeling, analyzing, you create a lot of turbulence in your internal dialogue.”

· Prayer from a course in miracles “Today I shall judge nothing that occurs”. “Non judgment creates silence in the mind.

· Try reminding yourself throughout the day.

· Start small – under-promise and over-deliver to yourself. 15 minutes, 30 minutes of non-judgm

ent or no judging on the way to work.

Spending Time in Nature

“Spending time in nature enables you to sense the harmonious interaction of all the elements and forces of life, and gives you a sense of unity with all life” It helps you realize you are part of a bigger picture or vision.

Nature “is free, it is immune to criticism; it does not fear any challenge. It is beneath no one, superior to no one, and full of magic, mystery and enchantment.”

Deepak suggests THREE actions to begin to clear the airways

1. Taking time each day to be in silence.

2. Taking time each day to commune with nature.

3. “Today I shall judge nothing that occurs”

Seven Spiritual Laws Overview

The book I read, buy for clients and recommend more than any other is...
Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra.
This small (perfect size for your purse) book packs a lot of bang for it's buck.
  • The chapters are short, readable in 15 minutes!
  • Each chapter includes three action steps to leave you in motion. As a business coach I love that.
Now you may be turned off by the "spiritual" part of the title but this book is non-denominational in my eyes and if you are open it can resonate with most religious backgrounds. Because the chapters are short there are not a lot of examples and I find that repeatedly reading is the best way for me to embody the concept and truly bring them into my life. I would suggest approaching the book by reading the whole thing through and then focusing on one chapter each week, re-reading it daily. I find the book a great way to start my morning routine and equally good as a night cap to fill my sub-conscious crock pot with lots of nutritious delights while I sleep.

If you would like some support as you pick up the book for the first time or perhaps re-visit it for a second, fourth or fifth, you might want to join me in
Seven Nights of Success
a complimentary webinar the week of October 17th. Each night at 8 PM (PST)
Each night we will be exploring one of the chapters in a twenty minute talk. Immediately following the talk will be a ten-minute guided meditation for anyone who is interested in apply some of the tools from the book right away.
Feel free to join ONE night, all SEVEN or pick and choose the ones that work for you.
